On Monday the Year 5s went to Motueka Golf Course. They worked on their driving, chipping and putting. We have some great golfers at Upper Moutere School.

Ruby's Quails

Ruby brought her pet quails into visit us this morning. They were a big hit with everyone, even though they did their business on Theo and Saffron (whoops).

Founders Market

Thanks so much to all the students and parents who helped out on the stall on Sunday! $1500 was raised to go towards a big TV for the hall.

Today is our last day with Nicola!
We have really enjoyed having Nicola in Turama and wish her all the best for the rest of her time studying to become an awesome teacher!

What a good looking bunch!

Student Led Teaching

On Wednesday Otto led his Maths group in a workshop on fractions (while Julieanne observed our student teacher). He did such a great job that Julieanne is afraid she might lose her position...??  Well done Otto!

Riding the Bus

On Friday, Lauren, Nicola and Julieanne jumped on the bus after school to see where it goes each day. We loved it! Wow! Our students and families are so lucky to live in such beautiful countryside. Pete, the bus driver, was an awesome tour guide! I think we will have to ride the bus again very soon.

Lego Creations

Many of our students in Turama love creating with Lego. Here are two designs from the past week.

House Programme

Students took part in in a Technology Challenge where they had to build a bridge that could take a 750g weight. Their only materials were newspaper, two magazines, string and tape.
